Gray Bartlett is an absolute legend of New Zealand music, having been a guitarist and recording artist since the 1960s, and successful promoter and mentor. He recently visited East FM in-studio to talk with PJ.
Gray’s not one to let the grass grow under his feet for very long, and last year he was out on the road again in NZ touring with his old mates and fellow legends, Eddie Low, Brendan Dugan, and Dennis Marsh, playing sold-out shows as the NZ Highwaymen, with Stuart Pearce on music director duties.
They’re about to hit the road again for a national tour starting on June 7, though the sad news came through in May that Eddie Low is sitting this one out, because of ongoing health issues, so stepping in is another Kiwi music legend and amigo, Frankie Stevens.
