Waiheke Islander Solomon Cole has for the past year been crafting his debut solo album set for release next year. Ain’t Got Time To Die is going to be his first recorded work in his domain of blues n’ roots music for some time, following his well-received album of 2016 – Bruises – and powerful singles in recent years, with The Solomon Cole Band.

Cole’s also assisted in guitar duties for the recent reformation of iconic NZ rock band Space Waltz. His guitar work is on their sophomore record Victory (Universal Music) that reached 13 in the NZ album charts, alongside a consecutive number 1 for the re-release of their 1974 classic. It’s through this association that he formed a lasting friendship with iconic Kiwi musician Eddie Rayner (Split Enz, Crowded House), who has mixed and produced four tracks on Ain’t Got Time To Die, and the engineer is Nick Abbott.
